CONFAB: CACOL FLAYS DELEGATES OVER COMPLAINT ON FEEDING ARRANGEMENT (2)

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has censured the some delegates at the ongoing National Conference for complaining about the feeding arrangement by the leadership of the conference.

This came on the heels of the heated argument that ensued over the lunch being served by the conference secretariat.  While some of the delegates expressed disappointment about the poor quality of food, others said they wanted the food to be monetised to enable them to source for food outside the conference venue.

Reacting to the incident, the Executive Chairman of the Coalition, Mr. Debo Adeniran, who condemned the gluttonous disposition of the delegates, stated that many of them have forgotten the reason for the conference. Missing funds: CACOL hails Jonathan’s approval of forensic audit of NNPC, calls for Petroleum Minister, others’ suspension

 

 

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has hailed President Goodluck Jonathan for the approval of the forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Accounts.

 
The Presidency made this known in a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati said that it had authorised the engagement of reputable international firms to carry out the forensic audit of the accounts of the Corporation, however, it did not give details of the firms. CACOL SLAMS JONATHAN OVER STATEMENT ON GOVS

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has censured President Goodluck Jonathan over his comment that state governors who cast aspersion on him and the Federal Government are not helping  the development of their states.

The President,who said that the best thing for state governors to do was to take their  cue from Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State by ensuring cordial relationship with him and the Federal Government, gave the advice while receiving a delegation of Anambra State indigenes who were at the Presidential Villa, Abuja to thank him for the support he gave to Obi, the outgoing governor of the state. KUFORIJI: CACOL LAUDS COMMENCEMENT OF TRIAL, URGES EFCC TO INVESTIGATE EVERY ARM OF LAGOS STATE

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has lauded the commencement of the trial of the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr. Adeyemi Ikuforiji and his personal assistant, Oyebode Atoyebi, for alleged money laundering.

Both Ikuforiji and Atoyebi are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for 54 counts of receiving over N500m from the Lagos State House of Assembly without passing through a financial institution between April 2010 and July 2011. CACOL BACKS REPS’ MOVE TO INVESTIGATE NNPC OVER UNREMITTED $13.9BN

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has backed the House of Representatives’ move to investigate the volume and value of crude oil sales and remittance by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation from January 2011 to date.

The House of Representatives had on Thursday ordered another round of investigation into crude oil sales and remittances by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

HAMMAH: CACOL CENSURES JONATHAN, ASKS PRESIDENT TO LEARN FROM GHANA
