President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an “outright failure” and should be defeated in the 2015 election, Ganiyat Fawehinmi said in a statement on Wednesday as she assessed the country’s challenges.

“Our present Federal Government led by Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an outright failure and we pray that by 2015, he will not return,” said Ganiyat, wife of the late Senior Advocate of Nigeria and radical lawyer, Gani Fawehinmi.

CACOL faults Lagos State govt on Lekki cable bridge

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL, has condemned in strong term the N39 billion spent on the construction of the cable bridge at Lekki, in Lagos, saying it was “an absurd of the highest order” and a drain on the tax payers’ money.

Executive Chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran, says the performance of Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola is overblown.

He said the performance of Fashola’s government did not match the revenue accruing to the state on a monthly basis.

Adeniran said this at the annual convention of the coalition in Lagos on Wednesday.

The Executive Chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL), Comrade  Debo Adeniran, has described the release of Al-Mustapha and Lateef Shofolahan as ‘a case of procedural and tactical failure.’

Adeniran who was reacting to the pronouncement of discharge and acquittal of the duo of Al-Mustapha and Lateef Shofolahan on the charge of the murder of Kudirat Abiola by the Court of Appeal, on Friday, 12th July, 2013, stated that the case, which was subjected to various proceedings was concluded to ‘death by hanging’ as ruled by Justice Mojisola Dada of the Lagos High Court. The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL, has urged the Lagos State government to prosecute the star witness in the case of the killer of Kudirat Abiola, Barnabas Jabila, a.k.a Sergeant Rogers, since he had never denied that he was the one who shot her.

The executive chairman, Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, Mr. Debo Adeniran, has said that the former Chief Security Officer to the former dictator, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, should not be celebrated because he was part of the tyrannical rule foisted on the nation by the regime.
