Missing N2.1bn: Sack Sanusi, NSPMC management –Coalition

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL, has called on the Federal Government to sack the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi for allowing N2.1 billion to disappear from the vaults of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company, NSPMC, last week.

The Executive Chairman of the coalition, Debo Adeniran, said in a statement made available to National Mirror yesterday that the apex bank boss should be shown the way out with the management of the NSPMC for dereliction of duty. WHERE DEM DEY? 140 Federal Contracts worth over N1 trillion awarded in 16 months

The Federal Government awarded contracts worth about N1.187tn  between August 10, 2011 and November 28, 2012, information obtained from the website of the Bureau of Public Procurement has shown.

The figure represents the total value of over 140 contracts spread across various sectors of the economy. A breakdown of the contract showed that between August 10 and February 15, the FG awarded contracts worth over N700bn, while in the months from May 30 to November 28, it awarded contracts in excess of N400bn. ACN, others berate Jonathan over N2.2 billion party hall

Civil rights groups and the Action Congress of Nigeria condemned the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration for approving the sum of N2.2bn for a banquet hall project for Aso Rock and borrowing N2.57tn in 18 months.

Civil rights groups and the Action Congress of Nigeria have criticised the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration for borrowing N2.57tn in 18 months and proposing a N2.2bn banquet hall project for Aso Rock.
