The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has condemned the action of the Delta State Government for paying N50m pension to a former governor of the state, James Ibori.
The group expressed fear that the action was capable of encouraging corruption among political office despite efforts by many Nigerians to reduce the monster.
CACOL’s position was contained in a statement by its Media Officer, Abimbola Adegoke, which was made available to Saturday PUNCH on Friday.
The statement quoted the group’s Executive Chairman, Debo Adeniran, as saying that giving Ibori pension was tantamount to rewarding corruption and encouraging its perpetrator
